Initially, I was excited for you.

Then I realised you’re going to be using the IB advisor portal.

So, my sincere condolences 😂

😂 have you used it before?

Yeah, I manage multiple accounts for my family.

It’s the best option while simultaneously being the worst option.

It baffles me why they don’t just hire a UX person to make it all easy to use.

Glad I’m not the only one who finds it extremely difficult to use.

Are you using the TWS or the website? DM if you have any questions as I've been using it for a while.

I kind of like the UX of IBKR TWS. 😀

We’re talking about the advisor portal for managing multiple accounts. In the UK at least the TWS platform isn’t compatible with managing multiple unrelated accounts.

So, we’re forced to use the web based platform.

Curious - for family friends accounts do you have to place the trades in each account individually or are you able to execute via the master using percentage based trading for each sub account

It’s a bit confusing to set up at first but yes, you can set it up so you place one order from the master and it automatically allocates across all the accounts.

Once you create your allocation group and pick your method, it’s just one click to execute across everyone.

Still getting used to it myself. IBKR has a lot of room to improve here lol

Appreciate the info. Curious to see how you like it moving forward. Will check back in as I’ve explored it with questions from family in the past but didn’t move forward

Are you a licenced financial advisor? If not, how do you manage your friend's money on IBKR if I may ask? Family advisor account doesn't work in that case

Depending on jurisdiction, Friends and Family advisor account doesn’t require full registration if you qualify for an exemption.

It’s basically managing 15 or fewer accounts and meeting a few other criteria.
